CHEMICAL METERING PUMPS, VALVES, AND PIPING

1.1    SECTION INCLUDES

1. Work necessary to furnish and install two sodium hypochlorite pumps and one phosphate pump, with one spare phosphate pump.

1.2    REFERENCES

1. The following is a list of standards which may be referenced in this section:

1. Institute of Electrical and Electronics engineers (IEEE): 112, Standard Test Procedure for Polyphase Induction Motors and Generators
2. National Electrical Manufacturer’s Association (NEMA): MG 1, Motors and Generators.

1.3    DEFINITIONS

1. Terminology pertaining to pumping unit performance and construction shall conform to the ratings and nomenclature of the Hydraulic Institute Standards.

1.4    SUBMITTALS

1. Shop Drawings:

1. Make, model, weight, and horsepower of equipment assembly.
2. Complete catalog information, descriptive literature, specifications, and identification of materials of construction.
3. Performance data curves showing head, capacity, horsepower demand, and pump efficiency over the entire operating range of the pump, from shutoff to maximum capacity.
